birth	Tallman, baby	Local and Personal: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tallman welcomed a baby girl into their home Saturday night.
death	Peterson, Bertus	Obituary: Died - Tuesday, June 25th, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. D. Sprague, 1 1/2 miles northeast of Marysville, Mr. Bertus Peterson, aged 82 years and 21 days. The deceased was born in Nordland, Norway, 4 miles south of the North Cape, on June 4, 1836, where he followed the business of fishing, coming to this country 55 years ago, first locating in Minnesota. He farmed there for two years when he moved to Iowa, living there until the year 1903, when he came to Washington, locating near Marysville, where he continued farming until his last sickness. His first wife, whom he married in Norway, died in 1911. Seven children survive, as follows: P. N. Peterson, Rake, Iowa; Fred Peterson, Hayfield, Minn; John Peterson, Brycelin, Minn; Mrs. H. D. Sprague, Marysville, Wn; Mrs. Nels Mitchell, Everett; Albert Peterson; Ole Peterson, Sedro Woolley; Edward Peterson, address unknown. In 1915 he was again married to Mrs. Annie Nelson of Lakewood, who survives him. He is also survived by thrity grandchildren. The funeral was held at the residence of H. D. Sprague, Rev. Mr. Field of Everett Norwegian Methodist church, officiating. The internment was at the Odd Fellows cemetery, in charge of Undertaker C. H. Schaefer. The funderal was largely attended, and there were many beautiful floral offerings.
death	Robbins, Jane Lamore	Mrs. J. L. Robbins Jane Lamore Robbins, formerly of Marysville, died at the home of her eldest son, J. M. Robbins at Monroe last Sunday evening. Following a severe attack of la grippe from which she had not fully recovered, she had a stroke of paralysis. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon from the Methodist church at Marysville, Rev. Mr. Bates of Monroe officiating. The pallbearers were her six sons. Many beautiful floral offerings were heaped about the casket. The relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Robbins of Monroe, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Robbins of Wenatchee, Mr and Mrs. D. C. Summers and sons Richard and Morris of Tacoma, Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Robbins of Everett, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Robbins and daughter Evelyn of Chilliwack, B. C., Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Robbins of Portland, Miss Vera Sinclair of Tacoma, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Robbins and daughters Eva and Charlotte and son Joe of Hartford, and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Gates of Tacoma. A daughter, Mrs. G. N. Rhodes of Fort Wayne, Ind., and a son Elam Robbins of Bloomington, Ill., were the only children unable to be present at the funeral Mrs. Robbins was born April 6 1836, in the state of Pennsylvania. Together with her parents she moved to Indiana in 1850. She was married in 1853 to Richard Robbins. To this union was born twelve children, nine of whom are still living. She also leaves twenty-three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. At the urgent invitation of the children, the majority of whom were in the west, they moved to Marysville in 1902, where they lived until the death of Mr. Robbins in 1910. Since tht time she has made her home with her children She was a kind and loving wife and mother, and her friends were innumerable. She was a member of the Christian church.
marriage	Doan, Edna and Kreutzer, Andrew	Married: Miss Edna Doan surprised her many friends Wednesday morning by getting married, the lucky man being Andrew Kruetzer (sic), of North Bend, a soldier working in a spruce camp at Twig, Wash., The Ceremony was performed at 8 o'clock by Rev. Father Grace. Harold Smith of this city and Miss Mary Kreutzer, sister of the groom, stood up with the bridal couple. They left on the 9:14 train for Seattle and other points. Mr. Kreutzer expects to be transferred soon to Edgewick, Wash., and the happy couple will make their home there for an indefinite time.
move	Holmes, Grover	Local and Personal: Mrs. Grover Holmes and family moved their household goods Wednesday by boat to Bremerton where Mr. Holmes has had employment for some months.

crime auto	Ingle, B. F.	STOLEN AUTOMOBILE FOUND IN THE WOODS A new Ford car was stolen from B. F. Ingle of Monroe on June 15th last, for which a reward of $25.00 was offered, with no results until Tuesday when Leslie Hawley, while berry picking in the brush about 2 miles northeast of this city, ran onto the machine on land belong to Frank Comeford. He came to town and reported. The sheriff was called, who phoned Mr. Ingle, and Fred Whistler of the Marysville Garage, went out with Hawley and brought the car in. The machine was all right, coming in on its own power Mr. Ingle was mighty glad to get the car back. He had just bought it, needing it for driving to his work, and when it was stolen he was obliged to get another. He came for the car Wednesday and gladly paid the reward. Young Hawley found hunting blackberries a profitable venture.
death	Harrington, Julia	Local and Personal: Mrs. Julia Harrington died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. McCann, after an illness of nearly a year. Her home is at American Falls, Ido. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Catholic church. Obituary next week.
death	Sedgwick, Aaron	Obituary: Aaron H. Sedgwick was born in Erie Co. New York, May 26 1842, and died in the Old Soldiers' Home at Orting, Wash., July 4, 1918. He was married Jan. 1, 1861 to Katherine L. Bacon. Two sons were born to them, Chester W., and Henry A., both living. Mr. Sedgwick enlisted in the U. S. army in 1864. He saw 19 months of active service and was honorably discharged at the close of the war. Mr. Sedgwick was well-known and greatly respected about Marysville and vicinity, where he had resided for over ten years until he recently went to the Soldiers' Home at Orting. His patriotism was the patriotism of deeds, not words alone. The funeral was conducted from the Marysville undertaking parlors July 8 at 2 p.m. Rev. C. E. Sanders officiating. Comrades of the Grand Army served as pall-bearers. The ladies of the G. A. R. participated in the service with their ritual service for departed comrades. Interment was made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

The couple will make their home at that place which is near San Diego. Miss Morgan is a Marysville girl, a daughter of Mrs. Wm. Tompkins, and was teaching school in California

death	Anderson, Hugo	Obituary: Hugo Anderson was born in Sweden and died at the home of Herman Mattern, in Norumtown, Sunday, July 21, aged 47 years. He came to American when 18 years old, and ws married to Miss Ida Mattern of Marysville in 1897. They resided in this vicinity for some years, later moving to Canada, which has been their home until sickness compelled him to leave his farm. Deceased was a christian who was bright with the hope of eternal life. He leaves a wife and five children--one girl and four boys, the oldest of whom is in the Canadian overseas service. The funeral was held from the Marysville Undertaking parlors July 23 at 3 p.m. Many relatives were in attendance. The floral offerings were beautiful. Interment was made at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Rev. C. E. Sanders officiated at the services.
death	Moskeland, Anna	Local and Personal: Miss Anna Moskeland, aged 15 years 6 months and 2days, died at Aldercrest Sanitarium, Snohomish, at 10:30 o'clock Thursday morning. She was the only daughter of Ole and Janet Moskeland, of Kellogg Marsh. The funeral will be held at the Baptist church Sunday at 2 p.m.

marriage	Hill, Harry and Kerrey, Corene	Local and Personal: Harry Hill, son of Oscar Hill of this city, was married in Seattle Sunday to Miss Corene Kerrey. He took his wife with him to Vancouver barracks, where he is in the government service in the spruce division.
move	Taylor, Mead	Local and Personal: Mead Taylor, formerly of Marysville but late of Wenatchee, has taken a position as motorman on the streetcars in Seattle, and has moved there with his family.
