death | Anderson, Charles | Obituary: Charles A. Anderson was born in Grenna Sweden, on Oct 21, 1861, died Sep 17, 1918 in Seattle aged 57 years, 10 months and 26 days, after a long illness of a complication of troubles Deceased came to this country at the age of 21 and was married to Miss Emily Wilbur in 1888. they made their home in Chicago for a number of years, coming to Marysville about eighteen years ago. He followed the business of painting and paperhanging until about four months ago when he retired and moved to Seattle He was the father of five children, four of whom are now living, namely; Mrs Emma Kruse, Charles W. Anderson, Edward Warren Anderson, and Maud L. Anderson, all of Seattle. Besides these he leaves to mourn his death the faithful wife and two grandchildren, two brothers in Chicago, one in Sweden and a sister in Switzerland. The remains were brought to Marysville Tuesday by Undertaker C. H. Schaefer, and the funeral was held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Baptist church, Rev. C. E. Sanders officiating. The Odd Fellows of which lodge he was a member, conducted their ceremony at the grave. Deceased was also a member of the Foresters. There was a large attendance at the funeral, several of the mills shutting down in the afternoon to enable the workers to do honor to the departed. |
