Book was scanned on a Microtek SanMaker S400 that has a problem with color so it was scanned on the grey scale at 300 dpi and then optimized to a smaller size and file. The pictures were descreened although it certainly doesn't look like it. I just bought this one to replace the other scanners I have burned up and... I love Microtek but....
Normally I would index a book like this but except for Ise Inuzuka no picture was identified to a name. If someone makes of a list of the people listed in this book I would include it in my presentation but I skipped indexing in order to get this book placed online in a timely fashion.
Okay, I was going to make a comment about this book and indeed when showing off the book while scanning I got a few stories about peoples experiences with the removal of the Japanese from Seattle and the San Juan Islands. And I've decided that my comments aren't necessary. With total respect and honor to the gallant Americans who obeyed their countries laws... I dedicate this book.
